This small Raku Blessing Bowl is made of hand-thrown clay and glistens with blue and copper tones. Use as an offering bowl, ring dish, or incense burner.
Each bowl has an inspirational quote on the bottom. There is a little insert tag included with each Blessing Bowl that reads: "In ordinary life we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich." Dietrich Bonhaeffer
Write down a few things you are grateful for. Fold the paper and place it in your blessing bowl. Every time you pass your bowl or think of it, you will be reminded of your blessing.
Raku pottery is formed from raw clay using an ancient Japanese technique of firing which produces the diverse crackling aspects unique to each piece. It is painted by hand, then fired in an outdoor kiln to 2,000 degrees. Red hot, it is plunged into a pit with mesquite shavings lighting a blaze. The flames engulfing this piece of art give it its unique flashes of color and crackle, making each one-of-a-kind. "Only the strongest survive the trial by fire."
